Studies Without Borders
(Etudes Sans Frontières/Studieren Ohne Grenzen)

If I learned anything in my attempts to understand why so many things go wrong in this world, it is to recognize the importance of good people with access to quality education allowing them to build their own informed perspective – and equipping them with the qualification to work for change in their society.

Studies Without Borders supports young people from crisis regions who don’t have the means to study, but have the motivation to work for their communities. After more than five years of engaging for this organisation I am still surprised how much sense this approach makes to me! Check it out: www.esf-international.org

The FAIR Future Network

The result of the trip for which I originally started this block was that together with many great people from several countries (hopefully soon from all countries!), we are about to set up the FAIR Future Network.

Like many others, I am absolutely fed up with corruption, hypocrisy, ruthless lobbyism and the ugly consequences they have for the lives of so many. The need to act on this at a very large scale gets clearer to me every day, the more I understand how almost all positive initiatives on this planet are negatively affected by this. That’s why we work together for a future where Fairness, Accountability and Integrity Rule!

Pro honesty

Honesty is in my view the single most important thing for a human being to strive for. Not just trying to always say the truth, but being honest towards oneself. I think that if one is able to look at oneself and others with honesty, all other values derive from this.*

Pro honesty is a platform for sharing tools that help (youth) organisations and activists with being honest (i.e. measuring their impact) and promoting honesty (i.e. fighting corruption and hypocrisy): www.prohonesty.org
